My roommate is not around this week. I kinda miss my roomie!

Yes even though the room seems cooler, cleaner and bigger these days! *grins*

I got complaint though. My landlord is getting 3 new tenants to live in a room the size of my current one (read: small). How can? Mana boleh?? Tim Tak? Mana aye sai?!

Oh no. I am so dreading this.

With them in, yours truly have to share toilet with erm, 4 other people in total!!!

The toilet is smelly by the way. I think it's my landlord's doing. (Sorry Jeff. Hahaha!) Since he will move into the master bedroom and use that toilet, there shall be no smell. Except for the smell of erm, 3 more people's urine?

And clothes! It will be JUST LIKE BEFORE! No space to dry clothes. Can't wash clothes any time I like. Can't walk around naked wrapped in a towel. Can't have the whole space by the door for my shoes... ok the last point is irrelevant.

It sucks to be renting a room. :( Mom, please, let's buy a house in Singapore please?

Oh man oh man oh man. I so dread this. And it's going to be a daily orgy in there. 2 women and 1 guy! How can? Mana boleh?? Tim Tak? Mana aye sai?!

There's more! One's a hairdresser, one's a zi char cook and the other... I can't remember. You know, when I was looking for my place to rent, I was telling myself, there MUST be a reason why the ads are all looking for working professionals only. There MUST be.

I don't know the reason yet, but I sure as hell am going to find out for myself! Stay tuned for more updates when they move in!

Atkins Diet redux - part 1

Atkins induction phase has severe limitations on carbohydrates because the purpose of this phase is to get your body to rely on burning fat, instead of the glucose produced by the carbohydrates. I am now on the Atkins diets. Although I may veer off it a little. I have just got over yet another cold, and missed another week and a half of exercise. As it is now Spring, and I want to get fit for the summer, I need to take more drastic action. So it is time for a diet. Or, more precisely, the Atkins Nutritional Approach.
I have purchased the book, and started reading it today. But it was while walking to work this morning that I decided to start the diet. The Atkins diet is not too dissimilar to the diet that I adopted a few years ago, where I ate less carbs, none after pm. It is also similar to some parts of the Bruce Lee Diet. Refined flour / white flour / sugars are all out completely. No empty calories as Bruce Lee used to say.
Basic rules that apply to me:
NO
EAD
NO CHOCOLATE
NO HOT CHOCOLATE
NO CAKES
NO BISCUITS
NO FRUIT
NO FRUIT JUICE
NO PORRIDGE
NO POTATOES
Stuff I eat:
EGGS
BACON
SAUSAGE
CHICKEN
MEAT
SALAD ITEMS (BUT NOT SWEETCORN)
FISH (WITHOUT TOO MUCH TOM SAUCE)
So really it will be like my normal diet, but without the bread and cakes.
Today I had:
Breakfast:
3 fried eggs
2 bacon
1 sausage
1/2 tomato.
Lunch:
mini sausage
scotch egg (probably too much carbs here)
salad - lettuce, baby spinach, coleslaw, beetroot,
tuna mayo
olive oil
Tea:
Two tins of mackerel in tomato sauce
two thick slices of Pilgrim's Choice Mature Cheddar.
Drinks:
2 cups of tea
1 cup of coffee
water, water and more water.
